Our History
As Danielle battled some health issues growing up, she was on a quest to discover healing. After realizing alternative medicine provided remarkable results, as well as her father’s interest in natural living as a family lifestyle, she chose to pursue a career in holistic nutrition. Danielle attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, graduating with honours as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Recognizing that food allergies were an underlying issue among many disease and disorders, she specialized at the Institute of Health Technologies, where she received a Registered Holistic Allergist Designation.
Studying business at Laurier University, with a personal interest in self-improvement and nutrition, Steve felt his purpose was to open a health food store. This has given him the opportunity to continue and expand his skill with helping others. Danielle and Steve have been friends for several years and felt their different backgrounds and skills would compliment very well at a professional level.
We envisioned operating a very welcoming and personable store, by creating an environment where customers feel ‘at home’ and comfortable. We completely renovated a century home, and added a modern addition that fills the store with sunlight. The tremendous amount of positive feedback on the quality of our store, our services and the overall pleasant atmosphere, makes our hard work and dedication worth every moment.
At Inside U, we strive to help people discover the root cause of their health related issues and make recommendations based on what they require as an individual. Danielle runs her nutrition and allergy practice by appointment within the store, doing various assessments to determine which steps are essential for her clients to take, in order to achieve optimum health.
